You are invited to participate in the All Faiths Festival 2010©. It is a tour of the Malden Houses of Worship to be held on Sunday, April 25th, 2010, from 1 to 4 PM.

The goal of the Festival is to provide to the families and individuals of all ages in Malden and surrounding communities, an opportunity to become acquainted with the Houses of Worship in the City of Malden. It is hoped that this will create an expanded sense of inclusion and community for everyone. Representatives at Malden Access TV (who covered the 2009 tour) estimated that over 400 people visited 21 participating Houses of Worship.

The All Faiths Festival 2010© is a not-for-profit organization with no direct sponsorship by any one faith. Representatives of each participating House of Worship in Malden have joined in the planning of this event. Representatives have equal say in program decisions and meet to plan and coordinate activities.

To participate in the Tour, the community is welcome to walk, car pool or bicycle to visit as many Houses of Worship as they wish. A map and directory will be provided on this website to identify participating Houses of Worship. Visitors may begin their tour at any House of Worship they choose. Each House of Worship will present a unique program to greet guests.

Programs will be repeated at regular intervals and may consist of:
- Music program
- Tour of their facility (sanctuary, reception rooms and nursery)
- Religious education programs
- Discussion of architecture and historic background
- Meet the Person in Charge and members of the congregation
- Review of involvement in community programs
- Material will be available that may be of interest to visitors
- There will be no direct solicitation of visitors.

A supporting objective of the Festival is to establish new lines of communication between and among religious organizations and the residents of the city - not simply to support the tour, but to sustain interfaith awareness and community activity in the future. Towards that end, we invite you to meet the directors of the various Houses of Worship on the new Malden Access TV program, All Faiths Showcase©. This half-hour show is aired weekly at 6:30 PM on Sunday and Monday evenings. Each Showcase features a different House of Worship. The respective Director is interviewed on topics describing their respective faiths, connections to community, music programs, history, social action activities, family involvement, and relevance to modern day life. The interviews are supplemented with video segments showing their religious service, choir and other music, architecture, and comments by members. The Showcase often includes segments showing favorite Malden restaurants, florists, printers, and shops, benefitting local businesses as well.
