Mission
Each year the All Faiths Festival© organizes a tour of Houses of Worship in the City of Malden, Massachusetts. The goal is to offer to the families and individuals of all ages in Malden and surrounding communities, an opportunity to become acquainted with the many Houses of Worship in the City of Malden. It is hoped that this will encourage an expanded sense of inclusion and community for everyone. All Faiths Festival© is a not-for-profit organization with no direct sponsorship by any one faith. Representatives of participating House of Worship in Malden join in the planning of events. Each representative has equal say in program decisions and meet frequently to plan and coordinate activities.

GALA Event Planned for 2011
This year, residents of Malden and
surrounding communities are cordially
invited to an afternoon of entertainment
at a GALA event:

      · Malden Senior Community Center
      · 7 Washington Street, Malden - corner
        of Washington and Pleasant Streets

The GALA will be a fun event showcasing the distinctive talents of members from Malden congregations. Join with us to discover the amazing hidden talents of your friends and neighbors. Performances will include dance routines, vocalists, choirs, bell ringers, marching bands, musicians, and other entertaining activities. Information will also be available about each participating House of Worship.

All Faiths Showcase©
A supporting objective of the All Faiths Festival© is to establish new lines of communication between and among religious organizations and the residents of the city. This is done, not simply to support the Festival, but to sustain interfaith awareness and community activity in the future. We invite you to meet the directors of the various Houses of Worship on the Malden Access TV program, All Faiths Showcase©. Unique half-hour shows are aired three times every week throughout the month. The Showcase features a different House of Worship and a Malden business. Each director is interviewed on topics describing their respective faiths, connections to community, music programs, history, social action and family activities, and relevance to modern day life. Please refer to the Showcase Guest List. The interviews are often supplemented with video segments showing their religious service, choir and other music, architecture, and comments by members. The Showcase also includes segments showing favorite Malden businesses: restaurants, florists, printers, service stations, community organizations, prominent individuals, and stores.

The All Faiths Showcase© program received the Malden Access Television (MATV)
award for Outstanding New Program 2010.

Other Events

Reception

A reception was held at the Malden Senior Center for the directors of Malden Houses of Worship, Malden City officials and Mayor Richard Howard to discuss common ground and how we might work together.

St. Jude Fundraising Event

The Anthony Spadafora family hosted an ecumenical gathering in July for the benefit of the City of St. Jude, Montgomery, Alabama. All Faiths Festival© invited directors of Malden Houses of Worship to meet the guest speaker, Sean P. Cardinal O'Malley, Archbishop of Boston.

Unity Meeting

A Unity Meeting was sponsored by the All Faiths Showcase© . At this historic discussion eight leaders of Malden Houses of Worship and City Councilor Gary Christenson gathered to express unity and support of all religions especially for our neighbors of the Muslim faith. The event was produce by Anne D'Urso Rose and Ron Cox of Malden Access TV (MATV), and publicized in a September 13 Boston Globe article and front page of the October 1 issue of the Malden Observer . Special broadcasts of the Unity Meeting can be viewed on MATV.

T-shirts are available in adult and children sizes at $15 each.
Posters (15 ½ x 19 ½) are suitable for framing at $12 each.
